ResultSync — Record anything. Sync it anywhere.
Published by Basin Tech Solutions. Effective October 25, 2026.
Privacy policy
ResultSync lets you create forms and keep personal or business records. Your records are stored on your device. If you choose Google Sheets, they are also stored in a spreadsheet in your own Google account. Basin Tech Solutions does not operate a central database for these records or receive copies through its servers.
Information on your device
The app stores category and field definitions, entries, timestamps, record identifiers, synchronization metadata, preferences and conflict-recovery copies in a local SQLite database. The app also stores goal checklists, profile/display names, reminder preferences, chart selections and local challenge working copies. Local-only use does not require an app account. The database is protected by your device security; it is not separately encrypted by ResultSync. Device backup behavior depends on your operating system and settings.
Optional Google Sheets connection
For ordinary records and progress sharing, connecting Google gives ResultSync access to files it creates or that you explicitly authorize, using file-scoped Google Drive access rather than unrestricted access to your Drive. Basic Google profile information identifies the connected account. Google authorization is handled through supported Google authentication; credentials are not stored in plaintext in the records database. API communication uses HTTPS. Google handles information under its own privacy policy.
ResultSync creates metadata worksheets and a worksheet for each category. Synchronization uploads and downloads your records and schema directly between your device and Google. Offline changes remain on the device until synchronization succeeds. Editing conflicts may retain multiple versions for recovery. Availability of Google connection depends on the app version and Google authorization configuration.
Sharing and ownership
You control your spreadsheet and its Google sharing permissions. Sharing a ResultSync spreadsheet shares its contents, including other categories and metadata, with the people you grant access. Separate person labels or checklists do not restrict access to individual rows. Use a separate spreadsheet if you need a separate sharing boundary.
Reminders, diagnostics and other services
Versions with goal reminders schedule notifications locally after you enable them and grant device permission. Reminder text is generic and does not include your individual goal values. Delivery depends on device settings. The current recording workflow has no advertising, purchases or records analytics service. App-store and operating-system providers may process installation, crash or diagnostic information under their own policies. Please do not include sensitive records in support messages.
Optional Apple Calendar and Reminders
If you enable Apple goal sync on iPhone or iPad, ResultSync requests permission to read and update its tasks or events in the destinations you select. Task titles, dates and completion values appear in those Apple apps. Apple and your configured calendar provider manage any cloud delivery. Turning sync off keeps existing items and alerts until you remove or mute them in Apple apps.
Progress and invitations
Newer versions can share separate progress documents with Google-account Viewer access. Percentages are the default; goal details are optional. Older shared databases retain their prior sharing permissions until you change them. You choose Messages, email or another service through the native phone share menu. Their providers handle messages under their policies.
Optional activity challenges
Compatible versions can read steps, walking/running workout distance or active calories from Apple Health or Android Health Connect after metric-specific device permission and explicit sharing consent. Creating or viewing a challenge does not require contributing your activity. The app shares the chosen display name, selected metric, challenge-period totals, daily totals and available hourly totals, plus identifiers and update times needed for synchronization. These are encrypted before being sent to user-owned Google challenge documents. The app also keeps local working copies. Basin Tech Solutions has no server receiving this activity data. Health data is not used for advertising. Background updates depend on the operating system; an exact four-hour refresh is not guaranteed.
Encrypted challenge sharing and retention
New challenges require Google authorization for every participant. Challenge files and the results archive are private to explicitly invited Google accounts. Participant activity tabs are protected for the invited account; Google owners can still modify their files. Each challenge uses a separate encryption key kept securely on the phone and included in the full invitation. Both Google file access and the invitation key are needed. Keep invitation links private. Basin has no universal recovery key. Older files keep their existing permissions until their owners change them.
App files are organized in a private ResultSync folder with a Start Here guide. Final encrypted standings remain in a permanent archive. Only tagged, owned temporary files may move to Google Drive Trash, at least seven days after archive delivery is verified. Cleanup stops on missing, changed or conflicting results. Legacy files and private databases are retained. Older saved results remain on the device; the app does not silently convert or delete their remote files. Local working copies are protected by device security and are not separately app-encrypted.
Native invitations use the phone’s chosen Messages or email service. The key-free installation/help page never needs the invitation key. To join, open the full invitation in ResultSync and select the invited Google file. Local-only tracking remains available without Google.
Children and families
The initial public release of ResultSync is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Google-account and activity-sharing features are subject to the provider’s eligibility rules and applicable local requirements. Local recording does not require an account. The current app has no advertisements or advertising tracking.
Sign-in services
Recording information does not require a ResultSync account. Google authorization is used when you choose to connect Sheets or participate in shared challenges. ResultSync’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Legacy authentication identities may still exist from earlier versions; deletion instructions are below. Additional identity or advertising features will require an updated policy before release.
Delete data or disconnect
- Export first if needed. Use CSV export or the recovery backup option available in your app. Exported files are shared through your device and may remain in its file or share cache. Protect or delete copies you no longer need.
- Disconnect Google. Use Settings to disconnect the database. Disconnecting does not delete your local records or your Google spreadsheet. An operation already in progress may finish. You can also revoke ResultSync access in your Google account permissions.
- Delete local records. Use the app’s confirmed delete or clear-local-records controls. Deleting an entry may create a synchronization deletion marker rather than permanently erase cloud history. Uninstalling removes the app’s working copy subject to device backups.
- Delete cloud data permanently. Open your spreadsheet in Google Drive and delete the spreadsheet and empty the Drive trash, subject to Google retention and any copies held by collaborators. Historical synchronization rows, conflicts and backups can remain until you remove them. ResultSync does not automatically delete your spreadsheet when you disconnect or remove a category.
Account or Facebook data deletion requests
If you used a legacy or developer-test sign-in and want the associated authentication identity deleted, email michael@basintechsolutions.com with the subject “ResultSync data deletion” and the sign-in email or provider used. We may ask you to verify ownership. Never send passwords, verification codes, access tokens or private records. You can remove Facebook access in Facebook Settings → Apps and websites. Removing provider access does not itself erase a separate authentication identity. We cannot erase a spreadsheet or device records we do not control; use the steps above for those records. Support correspondence may be retained as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations.
